well............

i'm pretty sure that these little cuties (below) "are" no more.  we saw them yesterday afternoon.  a little while later bella moved them to the other side of the house.  last night we had company here & bella was literally acting like she was going to die!  she was in our garage for 2 hours straight.  sitting right next to the corner where she birthed the kitties & just staring at the wall in a complete daze.  her eyes were glazed over & we thought she was really sick.  scott's dad (who was here) was our "vet" & gave her "sugar-milk" through a straw....(he got a bit of it in his mouth when he was sucking it into the straw for bella....ahhhhh....thank you ken...i couldn't have done that.)  anyways- later last night it appeared that bella was ok...just super sad.  & today is the same.  she hasn't been with her kitties...pretty sure something "got" them.
we haven't broke the news to addalie yet.....we always have so much drama around here with cats.  do you think it's ok for a 2 yr. old to experience all of this?  maybe it's a good way to introduce her to life/death/birth etc.???

welcome to life angie!! : (
unfortunately these SAD things are hard to avoid and often harder to explain to a toddler. I've found that it is best to be honest, don't sugar-coat, just be REAL!
i am sorry to hear about your little kittens! hopefully you can find a way for Ads to understand and grasp life & death. joy & pain. happiness & sadness.
maybe you should try "pups" or bunnies and move onto something else. kittens are such luck, hey?
kidding.
have a good one.

absolutely...stick to the truth. living on a farm has taught our kids some hard knock life lessons about living and dying, and pretty much...that life isn't fair. kids are resilient...adds will be great. why not try a pony? :) mis.
