more spring

Every year I plant vegetables from seeds & then when it's warm enough I tranplant them into our small garden. This year it is: Peppers, Squash, Zucchini, & LOTS of tomatoes. The plants are already getting so big & I just planted them 2 weeks ago.

Going Private

6 months old (WHERE does time go?)

she is absolutely obsessed with feet! (does this mean she is going to have a huge shoe closet? her "minimalist daddy" hopes not. =) She especially likes my feet & if they have any sort of polish on, she cannot get enough of them. (staring at them that is.)

it's the most wonderful time of the year.......

...in my opinion at least. Spring is my absolute favorite!!!! I love gardening. Here are some of the blooms around our property.

Addalie is loving it too. You know how good it feels to walk in the grass in your bare feet after a long winter??? well imagine the feeling of being barefoot in the grass for the first time ever! Addalie was amazed.

Teething Perhaps??

Addalie loves to sit in the middle of all the laundry when I'm folding it. She "helps" (or just drools on everything. sometimes things have to go back into the wash. =)
Today she figured out another fun thing....chewing on the wash basket.

Saturday Night Surprise!

On Saturday night Scott surprised Addalie & I by coming home from market early!!! This rarely happens & when it does, it is only if there is something extremely important going on.....but last night he came home early "just because". The weather was beautiful so that added to the fun. We ate dinner together (crabcake sandwiches from market) & then Scott & I threw softball in our backyard. (one of my favorite things to do with my husband)

After that, we headed to The Creamery in town. Scott got a strawberry sundae & I got some sugar free raspberry ice cream (which was actually pretty tasty. usually sugar-free ice cream is not to good.)

And then, we headed home & watched the Phillies win! Fun night for sure!

Yep, I turned 30 a few weeks ago! Amazing. Lots of celebrating took place & I felt very loved.
The morning of my "big day" I woke up to flowers & presents.

My birthday was on a Saturday so Scott wasn't able to be home. My mom, Addalie & I decided to go down to market for a visit.

& then, the next day my wonderful and secretive husband threw a surprise party for me! I was shocked & had NO idea it was coming. It was lots of fun. The food was amazing, amazing, amazing (thanks Tina & Kathy!) & some of my best friends were there. Scott even had games planned. (not cheesy ones, but fun ones!) I was so blessed.

We also celebrated with Scott's family. Todd's 21rst birthday was just a few days before mine.

After that we headed down to the beach for a few days......

The Beach~

We had a wonderful time! Just Scott, Addalie & I. The weather wasn't great (rainy one day, cold the next) but we didn't care. We just enjoyed relaxing, reading, watching movies, & showing Addalie some of our favorite OCNJ spots! We went out for breakfast the first morning at our favorite pancake place. And the next day we took a chilly walk on the boardwalk & introduced her to the best pizza at Mack & Manco's. (not literally of course!) =)
It was the perfect ending to all of the "30th celebrations"!

Easter Belated!

Happy Easter (2 weeks late)

We've been having trouble with our computer, & so I haven't been able to download pictures. So- that is why I am just now posting from Easter & realized that I don't have many good Easter pictures to post. Never the less, we had a great day. We went to Scott's Krieder family dinner. This year was special for me. By God's grace, I am becomming more & more aware of my need for the Savior. & I am so thankful that He continually washes me of my sin.
