she shares her pillow

if i would allow her to, she would sleep with every single doll & stuffed animal that she could find.  & she would probably end up sleeping at the very end of the bed....she gets upset if i move her dolls so that she has more room.  this is typical of her character.  she is a very caring, thoughtful & sensitive little girl.
she is such a sweetie.  (when she's not in one of her "terrible 3" modes.)

jyla loves to dance.  she gets very serious when she is in "dance mode"
& sometimes i can't help but be reminded of the way they danced in the parks in china.
jyla seems to remember the moves.  :)

every 30 minutes.....

karen & mandi got things started when i was at the beach... (thanks-by the way!)

& we've kept it going.

she's had her fair share of accidents...

especially when she doesn't get good sleep.

but over all she is doing REALLY well.

her "squatty-potty training" in China is coming in handy!

& yes, she has fallen "in" a time or two. poor thing.

garden

last week we finally got our garden planted.

we have a small garden.

we'd love to have a bigger one someday if we have more land...

but for now scott doesn't want to take more room from our lawn because

that is where volleyball games are played all summer long.

priorities =)

dad, we are still using some of the seeds that you sent us a few years ago. 

(peppers, squash, eggplant)

 garden tea!  one of my favorite things about spring/summer!

we have TONS of rabbits here....

these baskets are one way that i fight them off.

(although i don't have enough of them & the rabbits have gotten a few things.)

after our evening of working outside we made a fire in our fire pit & roasted hot dogs & marshmallows.

the girls are at such a fun age where they get so excited about little things like that!

This past weekend, I was able to go to the beach for a little getaway with 8 other girls!

& I couldn't remember how to use the self-timer on my camera...so I'm missing too.)

We had tons of fun...with so much conversation-

that I didn't even open the book that I had taken along.

We also got some good beach time-

outlet shopping time

& lots of yummy food.

wild flowers & sunshine

Last night my 2 girls & I went down to The King Homestead to take pictures of Campbell & Calli!  

(of course we had to get some of Kaycee too because she's just so photogenic & beautiful!!)

Their mommy is one of my best friends...who I don't get to see enough of.

There were lots of wild flowers & warm lingering sunshine...

& it was quite a riot trying to do a photo shoot withe 5 little girls running around...

(make that 4 girls...Jyla just wanted to be carried!! 

apparently she didn't realize that I was holding the camera!?)

We ended up taking quite the hike to a neighboring barn...through TALL grasses...

& poor Missy who despite being 30+ weeks pregnant, also wasn't feeling well.

She is a trouper!!

But like I said, the weather was fabulous & no one was complaining.

Her mommy & I have known each other since we were 5!
We went to church together, & school together.
We have many fun memories & now we are practically neighbors living only minutes apart.

We had a fabulous weekend!

The wedding was gorgeous! 

There was lots of celebrating.

The wedding had some CrAzY parts!! 

(but it was Brad's wedding...so that was expected.)

The weather was perfect for pictures & our prayers were answered as it didn't rain at all!

I have many more wonderful images that I can't wait to share....

but I want the bride & groom to see them 1rst!
