in need

it's 3:20
i still haven't eaten lunch.
seeing as i'm a diabetic- technically that's not supposed to happen.
i did "find" some sugar somewhere in the 12 o clock hour to keep my sugars from plummeting...
it's been one of "those" days...
both girls are SUPPOSED to be napping.
neither one is.
both are crying, tired & desperately need the sleep
that they are fighting.

addalie isn't feeling well
so last night was very sleepless.
these days i feel like my capacity is reaching
98% with caring for my girls.
yes, i only have 2-
yes, some of my friends have 6 kids +...& they manage it all quite nicely.

but i have 2...& for right now as they each have individual "things" that they are working through as we are still transitioning..
that is more than enough to keep me busy.

they are at an age where they are dependent enough to "need" me to provide for almost all of their needs...
but independent enough to make huge messes & fight with each other & talk back!
i am COMPLETELY thankful for both of them.
please hear me on that.

the whole point of all that i'm saying is:
I NEED THE LORD!

(jyla & scott 11-2010)

i need HIM to give me wisdom
as i address the hitting, kicking, scratching
& in this mornings' case, even the bleeding.
i need HIM to give me p a t i e n c e
as one of my children has had a week full of repeated disobedience.
i need HIM to give me endurance
as i got out of bed last night for the 7th time in 2 hours with my sick child...finally i just slept in bed with her...& you know how that goes ;)
i need HIM to give me understanding & love
as we continue to navigate through things with Jyla's attachments & difficult behaviors.
i need HIM to give me grace
as i try to evaluate all of the "other" obligations outside of the home that daily present themselves.
i need HIS strength
when Scott is working long hours.
i need HIS forgiveness
when i raise my voice/border line yell-at my precious girls.
ahhh i NEED HIM.

& i am thankful
that "HE will supply every need of mine, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:19

AMEN SISTER!
I agree with that and whispered it to the Lord also.
what encouraging words.

hang in there.
remember, it won't always be like this. although some days it feels like forever.

As the Lord brings you to mind, I am praying for CREATIVITY and discernment.... Creativity to DEAL with disobedience, and discernment to see what is TRULY going on in your kiddos hearts so that you can not only address the behavior, but the heart as well...AND strength for all of it.

Ahh Ang,

Motherhood is not easy!!! Somedays cake, lots of days not! Don't let the comparing trap catch you! Other families might look good and easy but remember your not sitting in their kitchen 24/7 seeing EVERYTHING like you are your own!! I love how you are crying out to God!! That is the best place to be!!! HE WILL MEET YOU!! And provide the grace you need and do the work in you that He wants to do! Mothering is not just them it is for us too!! Love U Dawn Melllinger
