the "stache"

all of this "mustache chatter" is cracking me up!!!!
& i would never "blog" about it just for kicks...
but since there have been quite a few comments about it....
it kinda felt like that was my invitation!
(sorry scott!)

for those of you who are privilaged enough not to witness his yearly ritual...
it starts with a beard.
a beard that is un-kept...& never, rarely trimmed.
& that is the bad part about all of this facial hair.

he says that he needs it to keep him warm when skiing.?????
he usually ends up looking like a scary terrorist
& has a hard time getting through airport security (no joke!)

when valentines day rolls around...i begin BEGGING & PLEADING for this creature to leave.
& usually i think he ends up feeling bad because he knows how much
I COMPLETELY HATE IT!!!
so the facial hair starts to come off in sections....
he will leave it like that for a few days & then shave a bit more off.
always trying to get as much reaction as he can w/his individual "looks"...

i usually choose to keep my camera in the bag during these times....
i wouldn't want to encourage this creativity of his now would i?
but if i would take pics..i would have more than a few crazy ones to show you.
i used to threaten not to shave my legs until he shaves his face...
& i used to very seriously entertain the idea of shaving his face while he was sleeping...
you know, like samson & delilah...
even if he'd wake up 1/2 way through...he'd have to finish shaving it.
but, after almost 9 years of marriage...
i know that i could be dealing with something a whole lot more difficult than facial hair.
but really....
i say this all in "love".

=)

i am reminded of it yet again as i see these pictures and his yearly ritual and how it has SCARED me for life.
