if you know me-
you know that what my girls eat is important to me.
so it was a bit sobering for me when we came home from china & the only things that jyla would eat were carbs & sugars!!
literally.
she has slowly been adding to that category.
today she agreed to taste a blueberry.
(usually that is half the battle...she won't even taste fruits/veggies)
but the more that she trusts us...
the more she will "try".
& SHE LOVES BLUEBERRIES!!!
yay!!
at this point the only other fruit that she will eat is bannanas & peaches.
I know to some that blogging about my girl eating blueberries may seem insignificant...
but really for her it's all about trust...& so after nearly 2 years-it is very rewarding & a "big deal" when we see times that she trusts us in new ways.
Addalie is elated that Jyla likes blueberries ;)

i can relate angie.
we struggled with madelyn for years, due to her reflux and prematurity issues. we had YEARS of therapy & tried all sorts of things to introduce her to new foods.
she finally will eat or at least TRY almost ALL table foods!
as encouragement, it will get better!
i know the battle that this can be & i pray that jyla's interest & diet will grow and that you can feel confident in what she puts into her mouth.
blueberries & raspberries, to this day, remain one of maddie's favorites!
you can imagine how happy this has made clark, seeing that madelyn now enjoys his cooking and actually helps prepare it.
yay Jyla!!! so proud of you! Ang (& Scott), i'm sure you're doing an amazing job of gently & consistently continuing to help your girl expand her palate. good job guys! love that blueberries are on her list! wahoooo! they're SO yummy. xoxo
This is so sweet, Ang.
So happy to hear Jyla's step in trying blueberries and liking them too! You have been patient in letting her build trust!
