Culture Shock!

I have lived in Lancaster County for 25 year of my 30 years & still there are times when I experience culture shock! This past weekend was one of them. Scott had a sausage sandwich stand at the Gordonville Fire Co. Sale. This was his 3rd year participating as a food vendor & each year things go a little more smoothly than the last. Addale & I went over for a quick visit & because we aren't Amish, we were a minority! =) The pictures below are just a small glimpse of all of the things that are "for sale."

This was probably one of the most fascinating parts....they sell horses. The Amish men take turns getting the mic & "explain or brag" about the horse that is being bid on.

Addalie LOVES horses. These were mules & they were much bigger than it appears in the picture...but A had no fear & tried more than once to pet them.

Eventually we found a little pony that was the perfect size. She is hoping that daddy made enough of money selling sandwiches to buy her one!
