Texas!

Last week we flew to Texas for Todd's wedding. It was an adventure to say the least! This was Addalie's 3rd flight in 5 months. (& the shortest at 4 hrs.) She did great. Scott & I are becomming pro's at traveling w/a 1 yr. old. I've got lots of tips! =)

Yay! We were happy to reach our destination & feel the warm Texas sun! =) Addalie & I had to wait for 45 minutes while Scott was in the rental car line, but we didn't care, because we were outside in the 75 degree weather!

We stayed at an Embassy Suites (& LOVED the accomodations!) There was a "free" buffet breakfast every morning with anything that we could have wanted. Approx. 100 other friends/family flew down for Todd & Alicia's wedding & alot of them stayed here. Everywhere we turned we saw familiar faces. There were lots of volunteers to entertain A!

The bride & groom at rehearsal.

We don't get to see Brad very much because he lives in Florida so Addalie was soakin up LOTS of "uncle love"!

The rehearsal dinner was at Alicia's parents home. (by the pool) It was delicous! Ken & Karen served the meal & even brought fillet along from home. Yum!

the beautiful twins

Alicia has 5 sisters & 1 brother. Sammy & Addalie became inseperable little friends.

The day after the wedding Addalie & I drove to Austin TX where 2 of my good friends from YWAM live. Robin & Jess both have twins!! I hadn't seen them for at least 7 years. It was great to reconnect for a few hours! =)
After that, Scott, Addalie & I packed up & drove to San Antonio. We had a room at a Bed & Breakfast Boutique. It was right along the River Walk & absolutely gorgeous!!!

there was a cute little red fish in our room which of course A loved!

this is where we ate breakfast in the mornings.

The River Walk-lined with resturants & shops. So much fun!
There were lots of steps to climb if you wanted to cross the river or if you needed to get up to the street.....so we did this many many times!
Some of the rest of the family came to San Antonio for the day so we all got to have dinner together at a great Mexican resturant.
Ken/Karen & extended family on a boat tour of the river.

One morning it was raining so we decided to go to a nearby children's museum. We had lots of fun!
Addalie can't ever get enough of bubbles...she was in heaven with these huge ones.

We had a wonderful trip! Next weekend is Todd & Alicia's PA reception, so now we are busy getting ready for that.

ok, first of all, i just KNEW one of my friends had a birthday on march 29th, but i couldn't think who and it's not really the sort of thing where you call people and say, "hey, is it your birthday today??" SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ANGIE!!!!

i loved all the pictures. i had to laugh outloud at myself because the one i took the most time looking at was the breakfast buffet at the B&B...how pathetically pregnant am i???

i think patrick and mary june spent time in s.a as well...heard great things about it and it looks so charming....so much to do and see.

i'm glad you guys got some R&R, you both deserve it.
