~jyla girl~
one month ago today we met you!
it was a hot, china-day that we will never forget.
we were so surprised & grateful to learn that you had been cared for even better than we could have imagined.
the social worker handed you to your daddy & you tightly wrapped your arms around his neck!!
(for the next 2 weeks!)
then we brought you home....
so many changes for you dear girl.
but slowly & surely you are becoming more comfortable here with us.
addalie LOVES having a little sister. she watches over you like a hawk!
she loves playing with the kittens with you, & playing the piano, & with silly bands, & dancing to mommy's music in the kitchen, & listening to daddy read bedtime stories, & taking baths together, & brushing teeth (don't think you ever did that before you met us...
you thought it was pretty strange & screamed the 1rst few times!)
she can't wait to take you to the beach & celebrate your birthdays together! (1yr. + 1day apart)
& jyla girl.....mommy & daddy love you to pieces too!
you are learning "our english words" so quickly...i know they are NOTHING like what you are used to.
you say, "addie, thank you, please, bye-bye, hi, more, ma, ut-oh, eye-nee ("love you" in chinese)"
& you have hand motions for a million other words!! it is rare that we don't know what you want! =))
even though our nights are stuff rough & some of our days are too.....
we can not imagine life without you!
i am quickly learning what it is like to "mother" 2 toddlers 12 months apart!!!!
you & addie are already quite a team
& help each other find more trouble than individually either of you could.
the past month has flown by.....
at the same time it feels like you've been apart of us forever.
& we are so thankful that you will now be a part of us for the rest of our forever.
we love you jyla grace!

Angie! I stopped checking thinking that you were taking off for a bit. But delighted to find posts that I missed!
It sounds like the Lord is helping you all bond together. I'm so happy to hear it!!
