Memorial Day 2011 (OCNJ)

I am so very thankful for the freedoms of our country

& respect ALL who have in the past & present served to defend us.

I am also very thankful for Scott's parents who so generously share their beach house with us.

 2 very excited little girls heading towards the rides. 

When we got to the Wonderland Pier, it was closed.

Addalie had been talking about the rides for weeks & was completely devastated!!!

We convinced her that we could go to the arcade instead & ride Clifford.

Not quite as grande as a real ride...but Addalie seemed ok with it.

 And then......

we got a phone call from Uncle Doug & Aunt Mandi saying that at the other end of the boardwalk there was another place that had rides

& they were OPEN! 

Yay.  So we walked down & rode helicopters.

                                                  & hit kohr brothers for ice cream on the way back.

                                                     The next day we decided to rent a surrey. 

                                                           And this is where we ended up......

                          

                          as you can see there are lots of favorite treats to be had on the boardwalk.

                                        Scott & I even got to have a date night!  (thanks Karen!)
                                              We went to a yummy SEAFOOD restaurant.

Another wonderful trip.

We are looking forward to going back in July!
