"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might recieve adopton as sons.  And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying Abba Father.  So you are NO LONGER a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."

Last day of preschool-

We were so unsure about sending Adds to preschool this year.  She wasn't even 2 years old yet....& we didn't know if we were "pushing it"....I found myself comparing us to other families....& no one that I knew had their 2 year old in school.....I didn't want to do it for myself...but for Addalie.  Scott & I both felt like she would love it because she is SO social.  We prayed about it & I asked God to push back a little bit of "fear of man" & we went for it! - Well-she absolutely loved preschool & never once did we regret the decision.  It was a great place to learn/pratice sharing since she doesn't have siblings to "help" her cultivate that =)
She loved the structure, crafts, games, songs, & all of the friends that she made.  A few times throughout the year I wondered to myself..."where did she learn that?"  (like counting to 30 for example) & when I would help in her class- I quickly realized how much she was actually "learning".
I was able to help again on the last day & took some pictures.
The teacher gave them each some shaving cream to play with on the table as a sensory activity.
Addalie couldn't believe she was allowed to touch it.  =)

*mothers day*

I am a bit behind on my blogging....but here is Mother's Day 2010:

My husband is great at remembering/celebrating/planning/perfect-gift giving etc.  No matter what the holiday or occasion, he is ALWAYS prepared & ready to celebrate.  I was showered with LOVE on Mother's Day!  Thank you Scott & Addalie (& mom) for making this "almost always emotional holiday" a special one for me.  =)  On Sunday morning when I woke up Addalie & Scott were making me breakfast....complete with fresh flowers & a beautiful card!!!

& inside the card was A GIFT CARD TO THE BEST SPA IN TOWN!!!  (my opinion of course, but everytime we go anywhere i "test" out other places & hands down The Intercourse Spa is still my favorite!!  for all of you non-Lancasterians....(because I'm slowly realizing how many non-Lanc. people are reading my blog =)).........Intercourse is a town here...)

Anyways...after Addalie said "Happy Mother's Day Mom" at least 30 times (*so sweet*) we headed off to church (where she kept whispering "Happy Mother's Day" to me) =)
(side note:  when she was in my womb--i felt her 1rst movement on Mother's Day)

After church Scott would not tell me where we were going....but we ended up at one of my FAVORITE resturants & my mom was there to meet us!

Mom-It was an honor to spend the afternoon & evening with you.  I am BLESSED BEYOND WORDS by your care in my life.  LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Like I mentioned, Mother's Day has been an emotional holiday for me-for many reasons & for many years.
This year...I was particaulary L O N G I N G to hold my China doll!!!  Even though I haven't met her yet, I feel like a part of my heart is not here.....It is there.....Can't wait to "mother" her & all that is to come.

(our "poor" china-girl is getting such a CRAZY sister.....)

LOA

Yay!!  We received the LOA for our adoption today!  (Letter of Acceptance)
We were told that it would take between 3-5 months to receive & it came in 7 WEEKS!  Wowsers!!  Our adoption agency was surprised.  =)
That means we will probably be traveling to China sooner than later!!! (Estimated:  end of July or August.)
& that also means that now I have a bunch of paper work to tackle again!
We went out for ice cream last night to celebrate!  We are thanking the Lord for His kindness & favor in this adoption.  We are one step closer......
We are planning on having a fundraiser (meal) in the near future.  We are trying to firm up the date for that, but I will be sure to post it when things are decided.

Herr Baby

Scott & I are care group leaders at our church....& it seems that the "theme" in our care group right now is BABIES!  We have had 4 babies born so far this year & 2 more on the way.  The next little bundle is going to be born into the Herr Family & is scheduled to arrive on Friday via C-section!!  Tina & I had lots of fun taking pictures (Kendra has never had any prego pics taken for her previous 3!)  Kendra showed up with lots of fun ideas.

Ryle if it's a boy & Maylee if it's a girl!  (love the names!)
